How Tastemaker's Prickly Pear Seed Oil came to be
I first discovered this oil on a trip to Morocco and from the very first application, I was hooked. My skin felt immediately more hydrated, smoother, and genuinely nourished in a way I hadn't experienced before. There was a noticeable glow, and for the first time I understood what elasticity feels like in skin that is properly hydrated.
On returning to Ireland, I searched for a high-quality, genuinely pure version and couldn't find one. So I went back to Morocco to source and bottle a 100% organic, cold-pressed oil of uncompromising quality. I chose blue for the label as it reminds me of the beautiful colour in the Majorelle Gardens of Marrakech, where I first fell in love with Morocco. The bottle is opaque to prevent UV-induced oxidation and to ensure it keeps its quality and shelf life.

What is Prickly Pear Seed Oil good for?
Rich in Vitamin E (3 times more than in argan oil), essential fatty acids, and powerful antioxidants, this certified organic face oil works to:
- Deeply hydrate without clogging pores, suitable for all skin types including oily and combination
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark circles around the eyes

How long before I see results?
Most clients notice a visible difference in their skin within 1 to 2 weeks of daily use. A little goes a long way, just a few drops is all it takes.
How to use Prickly Pear Seed Oil
For best results, apply 2–3 drops to cleansed skin morning and evening, either on its own or mixed with your moisturiser. Gently massage into face, neck, and décolletage. It can also be applied to hair and nails for extra nourishment and hydration.
If using in the morning, always follow with an SPF. For external use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes and discontinue usage if irritation occurs.

The oil makes me look better, less tired, and makes me feel refreshed when I use it. I think it takes years off me!

One word, REMARKABLE.
I’d never heard of Prickly Pear Seed Oil, or its natural benefits, until I purchased this at the @tastemaker pop up shop @rowelldesign a few months ago.
I’d recently streamlined my skincare routine for minimal time and effort, ditched using primer and started using a different range of makeup products, lighter than my usual foundation, and more suitable for my “old” face!
Edel’s oil is so light, absorbing quickly into my skin, allowing moisturiser and foundation to sit perfectly with no shine, but most of all it truly does soften my fine lines almost instantly. My makeup now looks smooth instead of settling into the lines and therefore emphasising them.
I stopped using it for a few weeks having invested in a “luxury” brand to satisfy my curiosity, and after great expense it doesn’t compare to Edel’s product!
I started using Moroccan prickly pear oil 8 weeks post-partum when my skin was dehydrated and dull. I’ve been using it for 3 months now and I can not believe the difference it has made. When I first started using the oil my skin was unusually dry.
